Is there a big difference between teaching and being a media specialist?

In some ways there is a big difference. As a media specialist I didn’t have to conduct SEP Conferences with parents, but I also didn’t have the chance to develop a really close relationship like a teacher has with her students. I almost doubled my salary when I went from a media specialist to a teacher!
